Los Pingüinos
Diego Fedora from Chula Vista, California and Eddie El Minion from Seminole, Texas met while in the service of the State of California somewhere around 1976. After forming Los Pingüinos in Chula Vista off and on––and off––and on they’ve been sharing instrumental surf, R&B, blues, and Chicano Rock & Roll ever since. In the past few years, they added Raul Julio Franco from Clearwater, Florida.
Influences include Los Straitjackets, The Ventures, Dick Dale, Booker T. & The MGs, Link Wray, Ritchie Valens, Eddie Angel, Sandy Nelson, The Pyramids, The Chantays, and many more.
Their message is simple: “No drama. No hate. No meaning. NO WORDS!!! Just Surf––and Love!”
Currently based in Maine for the summer, Los Pingüinos will be sharing Surf & Love all summer on the East Coast! Come and enjoy good vibes, dance like nobody’s watching , and leave your worries behind in the spirit of endless summer.
Recent releases including the full album “By Way of Rosarito” and an EP, “Super Secret Surfer Spy” are now available at Bandcamp, CD Baby and are heard on Spotify and Apple Music. More information on the band is available at LosPinguinos.us
