Missed out on the first SOLD OUT Empire Comedy Lives… don’t worry we’re back on the Empire Live stage on Congress Street for volume 2 with more comedy. Maine House of Comedy in collaboration with Empire Live is proud to present – EMPIRE COMEDY LIVES.

EMPIRE COMEDY LIVES is a comedy showcase featuring plenty of familiar faces in the Portland, Maine comedy scene alongside a returning headliner who made his Maine debut at Cabin Fever at Thompson’s Point in 2021, returned back to perform at Maine House of Comedy’s Free Street location with his comedy special hour The Sugar in 2022, and now in 2023 to headline on the Congress Street stage with a NEW HOUR – He has twice appeared on Comedy Central’s This Is Not Happening, Comedy Central’s Featuring, Vice Live, and the PBS featured Stories From The Stage. His appearance on Stories From The Stage won the 2020 Webby People’s Voice award for Best Individual Performance. Timeout Magazine named him “One of your new comedy obsessions.” – he is East New York’s own GASTOR ALMONTE

Featuring Ian MacDonald a local favorite who recently performed at Boston Comedy Festival and will be performing at North Carolina Comedy Festival later this year.

Hosted by Mo Awale a coproducer of Portland, ME’s Don’t Tell Comedy shows and cofounder of Maine House of Comedy. He recently was a part of Diverse AF’s writer’s workshop at The Onion and hosted The Telling Room’s Show and Tell at The State Theatre.
